Belourthe acquires baby food business of Cerealto Siro Foods

Vincent Crahay has reached an agreement for the acquisition of the “Baby Food Business” of Cerealto Siro Foods 

Vincent Crahay, CEO of Belourthe and Ninolac International, has finalized an agreement with Cerealto Siro Foods for the acquisition of its “Baby Food Business”, which includes the “Benavente” plant in Portugal. 

For Vincent Crahay: "This acquisition will be very profitable for both companies, the workers, our respective customers and suppliers. 

Baby Food is our core business: the synergies we will be able to develop will allow the new structure to consolidate our position as a strategic player at the world level”. 

This operation allows to take control of a business in place since 1974 (owned until 2013 by the Nutricia/Danone group), producing prestigious brands for world leaders as well as the NUTRICEAL brand. 

The Portuguese plant has a capacity of 10.000T and occupies 73 people. 

The desire of the Cerealto Siro Foods Group is to refocus on its flagship products such as biscuits, cereals and pasta.
